1. BE A CHICKEN!!! Look at your subject matter 3/4 of the time and only look at what you are drawing 1/4 of the time. Move your eyes back and forth, draw what you see, not what your brain thinks it sees.
2. STOP!!! Stop drawing if you are looking at what you are drawing, only draw if you are looking at your subject matter.
3. Don't lift up and don't erase. There are no mess up's or errors only extra lines and beautiful mistakes.
4. Ant or snails pace. Pretend like there is an ant or snail slowly moving around your subject. Your eyes and hand should be moving together but very slowly so you can see and draw the unique details of your subject.
BLIND CONTOUR DRAWING- you do not look at your drawing, only your subject. Trust yourself to communicate what you see into what you draw.
